The V21 saxophone reeds provides players with a beautifully dark, focused sound with an easy but full-bodied response in all registers, including altissimo. The V12 reeds are produced from cane selected for its specific proportions, it has a thicker heel and are cut on a longer palette with a slightly thicker tip than the traditional. The longer palette means that more of the reed is vibrating, resulting in a deeper, richer sound. The thicker tip gives body to the attack and also increases tje longevity of the reed.

Vandoren Traditional series reeds are characterized by a pure sound that is a result of a very thin reed tip that is balanced by a solid vertical column. They are consistent and reliable, and are a favorite of many band and orchestra directors and even many professionals.

The V16 reeds are the same as Javas but with one important difference- they are thicker. These reeds are designed to respond well when played hard and loud. Whereas most reeds will become uncooperative if pushed too much, these are specifically cut to avoid these issues. 

Vandoren's ZZ reeds feature a unique relationship between the heart of the reed, where the tone is produced, and the thickness of the tip, which is responsible for vibration. The result is a reed with extraordinary tone and immediate response that is free-blowing even in the altissimo range.

Java Red reeds have more flexibility and tonal body and produce a full, rich, centered sound with phenomenal projection and extremely precise attacks. They have a thicker extremity and a more flexible pallet than Vandoren's Traditional series, and they allow greater vibration over a larger surface area with maximum elasticity.

Developed in 1983 for jazz and popular music by Vandoren, these were the forst of the Java series of reed. They are often referred to as Java Green, expecially since the advent of the Java Red reeds. These are the originals, and are characterized by a thicker tip and a more flexible pallet. They allow vibration over a larger surface area with maximum elasticity.

The P. Mauriat reeds are made in France and every piece is selected for the highest quality. All P. Mauriat reeds come in box of 5 with individual packaging.
